We often get questions from customers like:
👉 “I’ve received my Cricut machine… what should I do next?”
When you open the box, you’ll probably notice there isn’t much paperwork inside.
That’s totally normal 😄
Don’t worry — Cricut is designed to guide you through everything on-screen. It’s actually quite easy to start.
✅ What Hong Kong users should do first
Unbox & plug in
Take out the machine, power adapter, and USB cable.
Place it on a stable table with some space at the front and back (for materials to move).
Download Cricut Design Space
On your computer or iPad, go to:
Download and install Cricut Design Space (free).
Create / sign in to your Cricut account
Just follow the on-screen steps — no technical knowledge needed.
Connect your machine
Bluetooth is most commonly used in HK homes
USB cable also works if Bluetooth is unstable
Select your machine model when asked.
Follow the guided setup & test cut
Design Space will guide you step by step, including:
How to load materials
How the blade works
Making your first test cut
Start simple first 👍
We strongly suggest starting with:
Stickers
Cardstock projects
Simple vinyl name labels
These are perfect for getting familiar with the machine.
💡 Tip: Cricut doesn’t rely on thick printed manuals.
Most instructions are built directly into the software, and the app will “hold your hand” during setup.
If anything is unclear, post in our Facebook group — many HK users here have gone through the same steps and are happy to help 😊
